Latest Updates from Our Project:

Thank you & What happens next!
almost 6 years ago – Sat, May 19, 2018 at 12:12:14 AM

Hey everyone,

Did you see the end of the Kickstarter? what a crazy few hours that was! We managed to fly past £350,000 and 4,000 backers which are two goals I never imagined reaching, thank you!

There is so much to do now and over the coming months I'll keep you updated with our progress and I'll send out a rough timeline of the key events soon.

What happens next?

The important things you need to know about now are payments and pledge managers.

Payments: Kickstarter will have started charging you for your pledge, over the next week they will either take your payment or contact you if there is an error with your card. Currently we have about 400 people with payment errors so please make sure your payment details are correct. As soon as all of these are resolved Kickstarter will transfer the funds to us and we can launch the Pledge Manager.

Pledge Manager: In about 2 weeks' time you will receive an email from BackerKit, our Pledge Manager inviting you to complete a survey. This survey will ask you to confirm your order, confirm any addons you may have selected and to enter your shipping address. Once you have completed your survey we will have everything we need to be able to send your game to you.

I will send out another update when the Pledge Manager goes live letting you know to expect the email, and with some helpful advice on what to do.

Hey everyone!

It's 18:00 BST and that means there are only 24 hours until the Kickstarter closes, it's always great to see a campaign fund whilst at the same time, it is sad to see it end! But never fear, we still have a day to go and we'll have a celebration live stream tomorrow starting 2 hours before the Kickstarter finishes.

When I launched this Kickstarter, I had no idea how it would go, but as always you have been incredible and we've had thousands of people join us in making the next part of The City of Kings a reality, thank you! Day 27: The Plan is Set
almost 6 years ago – Sun, May 13, 2018 at 11:54:56 PM

Hey everyone,

We have reached the last few days of the Kickstarter campaign and what a month it has been! We have had thousands of people join us and already raised more money than our previous campaigns, so thank you for making this happen.

I'm looking forward to this last week, answering more of your questions and celebrating the last month. Speaking of celebrations, we have had more people achieve the Day 7 stacking challenge!

Fantastic job Patrick, Peter, Scott and Steiner for bringing us over 10 photos and finally completing the quest! Also, congratulations to Mark who took the time to find tokens from another game and attempt an equally difficult challenge!

I also want to celebrate those people who attempted the fan art challenge whose drawings haven't yet been revealed!

Thank you to Alexanders daughter for this awesome picture of Sesharra!

We've had some amazing pet photos come in over the last few days and I'll be sharing more of them before the campaign finishes, but today a special thank you to my mother. She has been training guide dogs for the blind for nearly as long as I have been alive and helped change the lives of many people. Whilst she's currently waiting on a new puppy to arrive, she wanted to share some of her children alongside The City of Kings.

 The School of Games update!

Day 2: The Lost Pendants
almost 6 years ago – Fri, May 11, 2018 at 03:39:35 PM

Can you believe we raised over £150,000 in our first 24 hours? That’s over 50% of what we raised in the first campaign! You are incredible, I don’t know where we will end up but whatever happens now, thank you!

I am putting together some timelines for live streams and will get some information released about this soon. Let me know if there is anything specific you would like to see!

Geek & Sundry have just released a fantastic review of The City of Kings and I thought some of you might like to read it!

The School of Games

The first day of the school of games went well! So far the first 5 questions have been answered and the quest is complete, but we still have the bonus question for another 1 XP!

Does anyone know Brutius’ favourite chef?

Day 2 - The Lost Pendants

Day 4: The World Bestiary
almost 6 years ago – Fri, May 11, 2018 at 03:39:16 PM

Hello!

Are you ready for the weekend? It's been a crazy few days and it is really sunny here in England, I'm looking forward to going out for a picnic this evening with Sara.

Yesterday I sent out the Day 3 update via social media and our website, but I wanted to bring you all up to speed in case you missed it!

Day 3 - The Games Festivals

I have received 6 photos so far and we're nearly half way there to the first reward! I'm looking forward to seeing some more game faces over the weekend.

If you don't want your full face in the photo, I'll accept an arm or a foot!

Day 4 - The World Bestiary

With the weekend about to start I thought we would take a different path and let those with some time to spare show us their skills.

Now don't worry, it doesn't have to be a master piece - As long as I can work out what it's meant to be then I'll accept it!

Have a fantastic weekend everyone and keep spreading the word, the further this campaign goes, the more I'll be able to continue to dedicate myself to growing it in the months to come.
