I hope you're having a great week? It has been crazy hot in England these last few days and it feels like summer is finally here.

Pledge Manager Closing Date

Thank you to everyone who has filled in their surveys, so far 80% of you have completed the survey and this has allowed us to send our final numbers to our manufacturers.

We will be keeping the Pledge Manager open for as long as possible, and I will continue to update you on the closing date. Currently I can confirm the Pledge Manager will be open until at least July 13th and I will send out another update in a few weeks to let you know if this date will be extended.

The Big Box Stock Levels

With the Pledge Manager being open for an extended period I want to raise awareness about the Big Box and our stock levels.

The Big Box was offered during this Kickstarter campaign to allow our original backers to upgrade should they wish. However, it is important to note that we will not continue to print additional big boxes outside of this Kickstarter.

We lose money on each box we print and are only printing the amount requested through BackerKit with a very small quantity of extras to try and cover those who have not yet filled in their surveys.

This means that we could potentially run out before the Pledge Manager closes, so if this is an item that you would like please make sure you complete your survey as soon as possible.

We are printing a large quantity of extras for all other items and do not anticipate running out of anything other than the box during the next few months.

BackerKit Card Charging: Friday

I want to confirm the first card charging for BackerKit will take place on Friday, this means if you have purchased any extra items and did not pay for them in Kickstarter, your card will be charged on Friday.

Progress Update

As a general update, things are going well and we have now confirmed our final numbers with our manufacturers and provided all the non-printed files for sample production to start. The printed materials are due within the next couple of weeks and I'm confident we will get these delivered on time as well.

Once all the materials have been supplied to our manufacturer (the end of June) I will put together a timeline showing the next 6 months and keep it updated with our progress.

The Pledge Manager is open!

Hey everyone!

Have you filled in your surveys yet? Our Pledge Manager is now live, and you should have received an invitation to complete your survey from BackerKit in the last 24 hours.

So far, just over 50% of you have filled it in, thank you! It helps a great deal with planning and makes the process of getting the games to you quickly much simpler.

I wanted to answer some of the common questions to make sure everyone can get through the process as quickly as possible.

What is a Pledge Manager?

A Pledge Manager is a website (in our case we are using BackerKit) that allows you to confirm your Kickstarter order, add any additional items you might like, and to confirm your shipping address.

You will be emailed a link asking you to complete your Pledge Manager survey and we need you to fill this in, without your shipping address we can't send you your items.

I haven't received an email from BackerKit

Does my Pledge include Vadoran Gardens?

None of the pledges for The City of Kings include a copy of Vadoran Gardens, the only way you will have already pledged for Vadoran Gardens is if you selected the "Vadoran Gardens only" reward.

When you enter the Pledge Manager you will be asked if you would like to add any extra items, you can add Vadoran Gardens at this time.

Do I need the Bigger Box?

The Bigger Box is only for people who purchased a copy of the game from the first print run, the second print run comes in the bigger box.

The dimensions are as follows:

• Original Box: 271mm x 371mm x 92mm
• Replacement Boxes: 282mm x 380mm x 128mm
• Bigger Box: 287mm x 387mm x 145mm

The bigger box is also made of a thicker material making it 50% thicker than the original box and sturdier.

The Bigger Box is designed for those people who want to fit the original game, deluxe upgrades and new expansion content in one box. If you are happy to keep the original content and expansion items in 2 boxes, then you do not need the Bigger Box.

How do I add the Second Print Upgrade Kit?

You do not need to manually add it to your pledge. The Second Print Upgrade Kit will be sent to all pledges that include at least one World Pack (and not the game).

When will BackerKit close?

BackerKit will be open until the end of June, at which point we will sit down and assess our current timelines. At the start of July, I will send out an update and let you know how much longer the Pledge Manager will be open.

The 5% and Vadoran Gardens

Hey everyone! I hope you had a great weekend?

I just got back from the UK Games Expo and it was such a fantastic weekend, thank you to everyone who came by and said hello! It was great to see so much interest in Vadoran Gardens (as well as The City of Kings) and I'm very pleased so many of you came to give it a try.

It's always great to meet people who have played the game / backed our reprint and I truly appreciate all the kind messages and comments.

 The 5%

I mentioned in my last update that we would be inviting 5% of our backers to fill in their surveys today as a test run before the rest of you are invited. Those invitations are going out now so check your inboxes to find out if you got selected.

If you have an invite from BackerKit, please click on the link and complete your survey.

If you do not have an invite, then you will receive one within the next 24 hours once the test run has complete.

Vadoran Gardens

A lot of people have been asking about Vadoran Gardens so if you visited us at the UKGE and gave it a try, perhaps you would like to add your experience in the comments below?

I would also like to point you at the Rahdo Runthrough which gives a great demo of the game:

Vadoran Gardens is not included in any of the tiers (other than the Vadoran Gardens tier) but you can add Vadoran Gardens to your pledges in the addon step of the Pledge Manager.

Hi everyone,

It has been a couple of weeks since the last update and things have been going as planned. Kickstarter have now finished collecting payments and will be transferring the money to us shortly, as such I can now confirm the launch date of our Pledge Manager will be:

Monday 4th June

On Monday we will select 5% of our backers at random and invite them to the pledge manager. Once we are confident everything is working correctly (within 24 hours) we will invite everyone else to complete their surveys.

I will send another update out on Monday to let everyone know when the invites start going out.

UK Games Expo

This weekend we will be at the UK Games Expo in hall 1 and our stand number is D4.

We will have copies of The City of Kings and Vadoran Gardens available to play and I hope you can come along and say hello, I'd love to meet you and show you the games.

We will also have the a few of our limited-edition art prints (they are starting to run out) and a special promo card for sale:
